Who you are:

You’re a dynamic, ambitious woman looking to take the next step in your professional life. You’ve worked the same job for a while now and are highly motivated to contribute and professional success is very important to you. You also value your personal life as it brings you the balance you need to recharge your batteries and take on the challenges at work. Your biggest longing is to live a balanced life that you feel in control of.

 

What you’re struggling with:

When you first started your job, you were highly motivated, ready to contribute, learn, and show your skills. However, for a while now you feel like you’re stuck in a rut. You’re counting down the hours until you can go home, you don’t feel valued by your co-workers or boss and feel like they don’t recognize your potential. You’re not as motivated anymore as when you first started out and you’ve kind of accepted the way things are now: unsatisfying, boring, and maybe even stressful with your co-workers. The smallest conflicts, arguments or disagreements at work set you off and you don’t know how to change that. You are stuck in a daily routine of waking up, going to work, coming home, doing chores, cooking, maybe having a little bit of downtime that you can’t really enjoy because you feel stressed even at home, going to sleep and doing the same thing over again the next day. Maybe you even dread going to sleep every night because you don’t want to get up the next morning to go to work. You’re so stressed out about work and your life that you might not even sleep through the night. You want to change your current situation, but you’re so overwhelmed and tired that you don’t have the energy to do this and don’t know where to start.

It’s time to take a step back, breathe, and reevaluate your current situation. Sometimes life gets so busy that we just operate on auto-pilot because that’s what we have been doing for weeks, months, or even years. We lose sight of what we really want and why we do things the way we do them. So now it’s time to break these habits, refocus your attention on what you really want in life and come up with strategies on how to create a balanced life that energizes you instead of driving you into exhaustion and surrender.
